Premier Youth Livestock Association

Premier Youth Livestock Association of Texas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization set up to promote livestock exhibitors to be able to further their education. 

Exhibitors will accumulate points for attending livestock shows and exhibiting their animals at any Premier Youth Livestock Association of Texas sanctioned shows across the state of Texas. At the end of every year the exhibitors with the top points in each division (or breed) will receive prizes along with scholarships deemed by the board of directors. 

The scholarships will accumulate and be set aside every year.  For example, if the exhibitor is 10 years old when they start as members of PYLA, every year that they are a member in good standing of PYLA, they will acquire points. 

If they place in the placing for scholarship, those monies will be set aside and put into said scholarship account until the exhibitor is ready to attend college. They can build up scholarship money for the next eight years, pending they meet the requirements of PYLA.
